Weekdays are quite a routine, especially when I arrive in the office at 7.45am. On arrival at my cubical, I pop open the backpack, unload and turn on my personal laptop and the office desktop. Then I’ll browse through thestar.com.my, skysports.com/football, drift.com.my, paultan.org and check my mails in mail.yahoo.com and webmail.moh.gov.my.

8.00am. Work, work and more work.

5.00pm. Everybody would be rushing back home.

6.00pm. The Simpsons or American Idol.

7.00pm. Dinner followed by Magrhib prayers.

8.00pm. Shower. On the net again for emails.

10.00pm. Shuteye (yeah I know, way to early)

Then the whole thing starts all over again the next day.

What exciting adventures await me. Ho hum.

People can be ungrateful beings at times, and yet when they do these people are put similar to beasts. Animals be it domestic cats or even wild lions are much more capable of being ‘human’ than people themselves.

I saw an episode of Mythbusters which investigated on the myth of airborne fecal bacteria getting into your wet toothbrush. Technically, I believe many of us place our toothbrushes in the washroom/shower which usually would be near to the toilet bowl. So anyhow, as in the show suggested, these airborne bacteria is practically everywhere. Therefore a toothbrush need not be in the toilet to get populated by bacteria.

A new chapter of my internet odyssey. Let us examine my short history of dabbling in the internet…

As I remember, the year was around the mid-90s. Internet was a new phenomenon and the kids my age learned fast and caught on the internet bug. At that time, internet connection meant that kids didn’t need to go places to meet up with their peers, all can be done eventhough there are parents’ imposed curfews/groundings. It also meant that the world is virtually an open field to get new friends. Such was the effect of the internet, MiRC blossomed. Dial-up speeds generally meant nothing during that time, frequent disconnections are just met with shrugs and a mad scramble to get connected again.

I’m attending a certificate course in oral implantology, which upon completion should give me the knowledge and confidence in placing oral implants in patients.

Implants in dentistry are basically one method to replace missing teeth, either replacing teeth directly or as support and retention for other dental prostheses. The surgery takes only a short time, between half an hour to around two hours but having implants could mean multiple visits (usually two but sometimes more) and would need proper planning by the dental surgeon and understanding of the needs during application by the patient.
