I’m attending a certificate course in oral implantology, which upon completion should give me the knowledge and confidence in placing oral implants in patients.
Implants in dentistry are basically one method to replace missing teeth, either replacing teeth directly or as support and retention for other dental prostheses. The surgery takes only a short time, between half an hour to around two hours but having implants could mean multiple visits (usually two but sometimes more) and would need proper planning by the dental surgeon and understanding of the needs during application by the patient.
Oral hygiene is at the utmost importance as it would directly affect the healing process.
Costs are between two thousand ringgit (at some government facilities) to around six thousand or more at private institutions, but this also depends on the number of surgeries and implants placed.
I reckon oral implants are the best way to replace missing teeth (but terms and conditions apply). Feel free to drop a comment/message if you have any enquiries.
