Many of the kids today want to be doctors and dentists. The title DR and supposedly high stature and money is the main selling point. Trust me, even with the current salary scale, please don’t dream of driving a brand new E90 3-Series BMW anytime soon.

Being a doctor comes with great responsibilities. You should be focused on treating your patients and promoting better health for all. If you begin your quest to study medicine by making a fuss about not getting scholarships etc then you’re starting on the wrong footing.

Once you graduate, prepare for a world of hard work and foreign places. You will get placed in some remote districts as part of your training. Deal and live with it and do not whine about it, I don’t think anybody would want their tax money to be part of the BMW fund for an ungrateful PSD-scholar houseman or FYDO.

I’m a doctor so I want to be posted only in KL.

Oh, come on. Get real. I waited 2 years out of the Klang Valley before chance came knocking. Go ahead and pull your cables. Think of how many people working hard for it and yet you’re just sitting down pulling the beards of power.
